About Hazel

After many years working in legal administration Hazel decided on a fundamental career change. Her growing interest in alternative therapies led to her training and qualifying in:

Remedial Swedish Massage Reflexology
Counselling Theory & Practice SHEN Therapy
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) EmoTrance
EQ Development Therapy

Her massage and reflexology training was put to good use when she worked for eight years with community groups in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, and it was while working with a drug problem service there that she discovered SHEN Therapy. SHEN is a form of hands-on healing which gently releases blockages in the bodyís biofield promoting physical and emotional well-being. This proved particularly useful with the projectís client group. Hazel continued to seek ways to help people with their emotional growth and started training in other energy field therapies such as EFT, EmoTrance and Zpoint Process which also proved to be highly effective.

Hazel is a member of The London & Counties Society of Physiologists; The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques; and The Siderius Foundation.

In 2000, Hazel and her partner purchased South Littleton Farm near Blairgowrie, with the intention to create a haven in the Perthshire countryside. With time and effort the farm steading was transformed into a country idyll which opened in 2008.

Hazelís spare time is taken up caring for her herd of Dartmoor Hill ponies which she rescued from the Dartmoor Drift sales.

Therapies

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most commonly offered and best-known type of massage.

During Swedish massage, massage therapists use massage oils to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and (sometimes) tapping.

Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits.

Reflexology

Reflexology (zone therapy) is an alternative medicine method involving the practice of massaging or applying pressure to parts of the feet, or sometimes the hands and ears, with the goal of encouraging a beneficial effect on other parts of the body, or to improve general health.

Emotional Freedom Technique

In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture wherein we stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them with fingertips. This addresses a new cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians). Properly done, this frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months or years down to hours or minutes. And, since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, we often find that EFT provides astonishing physical relief.

EmoTrance

In EmoTrance treatments, the client and practitioner WORK TOGETHER to clear the energy disturbance and to re-establish The Even Flow, the natural state of the energy body with the disturbance repaired. The practitioner asks the client for feedback throughout the treatment and proceeds accordingly, always working with WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING at the time.

EQ Development Therapy

A Bodywork and science-based hands-on system of clearing the emotions.
